FORT OGLETHORPE Eloise Crawford Hixon, 87, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at her residence.She has been a founding member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Oglethorpe since 1952. Since 2001, she worked at the Colonnade and was a Recognized Volunteer. Mrs. Hixon worked in the real estate business prior to 2001.She was preceded in death by her husband, T.G. Hixon Jr.; and brother, Jim Crawford.Survivors are son, Ronnie (Kaye) Hixon, Chattanooga; daughter, Nola (Pat) Shivers, Springfield, Mo.; brother, George C. (Marie) Crawford, Jasper, Tenn.; sister, Paula (Parnick) Stone, Chattanooga; grandchildren, Stacie Allred, Krissy Llewellyn, Jennifer Green and Emily Ashlock; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jason Thomas and Rev. Randy Bell and officiating.
