PIKEVILLE Kathleen Foster Panter, 88, died Friday May 18, 2012 at NHC Health Care of Sequatchie in Dunlap.She was a resident of Bledsoe County (Pikeville) for nearly 80 years where she loved the farm she called home in Panter Bottom. Kathleen was a loving caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and was an excellent seamstress and did beautiful embroidery.Preceding her in death was her husband of 52 years Maynard C. Panter; brothers Ed, William, and John Foster; sisters Evelyn Murez, Violet Rigsby, and Willien Foster.She is survived by four children, Bettye P. (J.T.) Myers, Pikeville, Martha P. (Charles) Miller, Yorktown, Va., William C. (Bonnie) Panter, League city, Tex., and John M. (Mary Grace) Panter, Hixson; 8 grandchildren Ronnie (Tammy) Sapp, Connie (Wayne) Holland, Ken Sapp, Charles IV (Brenda) Miller, Christopher (Kristi) Miller, William Jr. (Wanda) Miller, Donna (Terry) Villareal, and Jonathan (Andrea) Panter; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; A very special neighbor and friend Linda Jordan.A service honoring her life will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Beach Cemetery.Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com.Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Highway 127 South, Pikeville, Tenn.Visitation, Today 4-9 p.m. CDT and 9 a.m. until service time on Monday.
