Iris Irene Chatman entered into eternal rest, Monday, May 21, 2012, in Chattanooga.She was born July 8, 1934 to the late Timothy and Mary Ceatrice Chatman.She worked at Erlanger Hospital, where she retired.She attended Greater Tucker Baptist Church, where she was a devoted and faithful member. She sung in the Mass Choir and worked with the Hospitality Committee.Irene leaves to cherish her memories three sisters, Nova, Lillie and Melvie, all of Chattanooga; special nieces, Loretta (Lamont) of Kinston, N.C., Blonia (Daniel) Sidberry, of Queens Village, N.Y., Crickett (Robert), of Chattanooga and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Greater Tucker Baptist Church with Rev. Ezra Maize officiating.Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.The remains can be viewed from noon until 8 p.m. today at the Funeral home.Arrangements entrusted to Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, Franklin-Strickland-Pinkard-Bryan-Smith Funeral Directors.
