Emma C. Connally, 86, Chattanooga, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 with her loving companion Whistlebritch by her side.Emma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Born in Chattanooga where she lived until 2003 when she lost her home to the flood, she moved to Rossville Senior Village Apartments and was the first tenant to move into the new complex and was honored to raise the flag. Emma was of the Baptist faith and always faithful teaching Sunday School for over 40 years.Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Connally; great-grandson, Matthew Miller; parents, Thomas and Trenia Comstock; brothers, Charles and Herman Comstock; sisters, Thelma Whittenbarger Moon and Pearl Frazier Smith.She is survived by her daughters, Judy Smartt, Jean Miller and Becky Adkins, all of Rossville, Ga., and Debbie (Ted) Salmon, Richmond, Va.; son, Thomas (Hellen) Connally, Rossville; sister, Margaret Blevins, Trenton, Ga.; and brother, Paul (Estelle) Comstock, Rossville; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Marvin Fowler officiating. Bo Davis will give the eulogy of his grandmother.Interment will follow in National Cemetery with Chip Connally, Todd Connally, Chris Adkins, Adam Hunt, Robert Taylor and Jordan Connally serving as pallbearers.The family wishes to thank the staff of NHC of Rossville for the care and support received during her stay.
