Michael Eugene Rue, 30, died Nov. 1, 2012. Born in Montgomery, Ala., Michael was a 2001 graduate of North Springs High School. He was employed by Here To Serve Restaurants, most recently as Manager at Noche in Vinings, Ga.He was preceded in death by grandparents, Walter and Elizabeth Rue and Brearley Eugene Nicholson.He is survived by his parents, Walt and Mary (Nicholson) Rue, of Sandy Springs; sisters, Kristen Fowler and her husband Jeff, of Marble, N.C. and Kathryn Porubsky-Rue and her wife Autumn, of Cambridge, Md.; brother, Jonathan Rue and his wife Bethany, of Washington, D.C.; and grandmother, Georgia Nicholson, of Chattanooga, Tenn. He is also survived by nephews, Joshua, Noah, and Seth Fowler; aunts, Anne Nicholson Exum and Susan Nicholson McCarter, of Chattanooga; uncle, Gene Nicholson (Barbara); and his beloved cousins, Andrew McDonald Exum (Natalie), Jordan McCarter, and Mary Cady Exum (Brian); great-nieces, Caroline and Harper Bolin.Michael was a lover of all sports but was especially passionate about golf and "his" Clemson Tigers.A memorial service was held Monday, Nov. 5 at 11 a.m. at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church, 86 Mt. Vernon Highway NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328, with Dr. Gary Whetstone officiating. The family received friends Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt. Vernon Highway, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Baldrick's Foundation, www.stbaldricks.org.
