Dorothy Pearl Walker, 89, of Chattanooga went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012. She was born in Long Island, Ala., to the late Jesse and Edith Whaley, but had lived in the Chattanooga area for most of her life. She was a member of Grace Nazarene Church in Chattanooga and was active with the Cub Scouts as a Den Mother for many years. She also enjoyed cooking and reading and was a devoted sister, wife and mother who will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Claud Walker; infant son, Gary Martin Walker and sister Anne Meadows.Survivors include her son, Michael Stephen Walker; sister, Jessie P. Whaley both of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three nephews, Jack, Bill and Phil Meadows and several great nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.
