SPRING CITY Charlotte F. Thurman, 78, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at her residence.A lifetime resident of Spring City, she was the daughter of the late Arthur James and Della Mae Garner Gilliam Sr. Charlotte was a graduate of Spring City High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Spring City United Methodist Church.Charlotte was preceded in death by her brothers, Johnny and J. W. Gilliam.Survivors include her husband, William R. "Tuffy" Thurman, of Spring City; daughter, Sandra (Ron) Reid, of Buena Vista, Va.; sons, Mike(Donna) Thurman, of Spring City and Mark (Jenny) Thurman, of Cookeville; brothers, Arthur Gilliam Jr. and Lewis E. Gilliam, both of Spring City; sisters, Betty Brady and Jennie Garrison, both of Grandview, Judy Oldham, of Spring City and Emaline Nunnley, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Missy (Curt) Worth, Aasta and Ruby Thurman; and great-grandchildren, Alivia ODell and Abby Worth.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Spring City United Methodist Church with Rev. Dale Wyrick officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church.Interment will follow in Spring City Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spring City United Methodist Church Organ Fund, P.O.
