Mary Fricks


FLINTSTONE Mary F. "Nanny" Fricks, 87, passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at her residence.She was a native of South Carolina and had lived most of her life in Chattanooga and Flintstone. She was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church and the Gleaners Sunday School Class. She retired in 1987 from Red Food Stores with 30 years of service. Her passions in life were her family, church, embroidering, quilting, and watching Wheel of Fortune.She was preceded in death by her husband, T.J. Fricks; grandson, Jon Massey; and several brothers and sisters.Survivors include her children, Mary F. Massey, of Flintstone and John O. (Annette) Frazier, of Soddy-Daisy; brother, Robert D. Crick, of Atlanta; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Condolences may be sent to services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Rev. Jim Bennett and Dr. Robert D. Crick officiating.Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. today and Wednesday from noon until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
