Carolyn June Havens Copus, 82, of Chattanooga peacefully passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012.Ms. Copus was born March 12, 1930 in Gays Mills, Wis. She lived in Freeport, Ill., until 1984 where she attended Highland Community College and received her Nursing degree in 1981. After receiving her degree she relocated to Mesa, Ariz., where she worked as a Registered Nurse in long term care facilities for 21 years. She retired from her profession in 2005. She continued to live in Mesa, Ariz., until 2012 where she enjoyed the company of her family.She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Ada Havens; siblings, Nona, Clarence Jr., Joe, Herman, Dorothy, John and Darryl; son, Terrance; two great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.Survivors include siblings, Clyde Havens, Eunice Lomas, Ellie Kuntzleman; son, Howard Copus; daughter, Kathleen Cantrell; 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends for the memorial service from 10 a.m.12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 in Wauhatchie United Methodist Church, 3401 Cummings Highway, Chattanooga, TN 37419.Send condolences at www.CovenantFuneral.com.Arrangements are by Covenant Funeral & Cremation Service, Crox family owned and operated.
