Bobbie Lou Lovelady Irwin, 80, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was formerly employed by the Hamilton County Department of Education. She was a lifetime member of the Soddy Church of Christ.She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Edith Lovelady; mother-in-law, Myrtle Caldwell; daughters, Loucretta Ann Irwin and Deborah Kay Taylor; brother, James Lovelady; sister, Juanita Daughtery; brother-in-law, Tommy Irwin. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, George Irwin; daughter, Janice (Sam) Kennedy, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Sherry (Scott) Holt Mast, of Nashville; Kristi Taylor Bumpus, of Jasper; Aaron Taylor, of Chattanooga; great grandchildren, Jack and Sam Mast, Payne and Ryan Bumpus; sister-in-law, Jimmie Irwin, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Chattanooga Memorial Park, Memorial Drive, Red Bank, with Minister Bill Greer officiating. Family will receive friends after noon Tuesday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga especially Lauren and Rachel for the compassionate care given.
