Larry SmithCHICKAMAUGA Ralph Larry Smith II, 40, passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012.He was born in Chattanooga and had been a lifelong resident of the Chickamauga area. He graduated from Gordon Lee Memorial High School, Class of 1990 where he was a member of the Marching Trojans Band. He had worked at A1 North America and Phillips Brothers Machine Shop before becoming disabled. He was a member of Shields Baptist Church in Chickamauga, Ga. He was a member of the Sons of the Confederates and enjoyed hunting.He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Larry Smith Sr.; grandparents, Edwin and Elsie Smith and Doris LaDuke. He is survived by his wife, Vada Kristine Wright Smith; their children, Joseph Dakota "JoJo" Smith, Bailey Briana "BaBai" Smith; mother, Patricia Ann LaDuke Smith, of Hixson; grandfather, James LaDuke of Red Bank; sisters, Tiffany (Chad) Ryan, of Ringgold, Ga., Calley Smith, of Hixson, Dusty Smith, of Ringgold; and four nephews.The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today, from 5- 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday morning prior to the service.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 in the chapel with Pastor Billy Christol officiating.In lieu of flowers, the family ask memorial donations be made to the funeral home or Juvenile Diabetes.Online register book at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Homes, Chickamauga Chapel.
