Frances Lura Ellington Ball passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, five months past her 100th birthday.She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a kind, generous heart and everyone who knew her loved her. She was a wonderful cook and prepared many special family meals.Mrs. Ball was a member of Newnan Springs United Methodist Church since 1946. She was retired as co-owner of Omega Tile Co.She was predeceased by her parents, William and Hattie Ellington; brothers, Leonard, Walter and J.D. Ellington and sisters, Ruth Greene and Laura Eiland. She was also predeceased by her husband of 48 years, William Goble Ball. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Linda Ball and Bob Workman, of Ooltewah; two granddaughters, Robin (Greg) Whisenant, of Ooltewah, and Kellye (Jeff) Stanley, of Sale Creek. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Blake and Brent Doss, Tyler Day and Madison Stanley. Our family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to all those at The Health Center at Standifer Place for their loving care and kindness. The Rev.
