Sr.John G. Friant Sr., 84 of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at his residence.He was born in Muskegon, Mich. on Aug. 12, 1928, a veteran of the U.S Army serving in the Korean war; and was retired from Interstate Life and Accident Insurance Co. after 37 years of service.He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Erma Friant, Miami, Fla; twin sister, Jean Friant, Miami; sister, Mildred Friant Baker, Lantana, Fla.; brother, Robert S. Friant, Austell, Ga.He is survived by his wife, Jeanie Friant; sons, Richard (Becky) Friant, Robert (Heather) Friant II and John (Rhonda) Friant Jr.; seven precious grandchildren, Hannah, Jonathan, Megan, Mary Brooks, Jacob, Savannah and Zach.Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev.
