WINCHESTER Helen L. Devine, 91, passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at her residence in Winchester.She was born Oct. 15, 1920, in Villisca, Iowa, to the late Roy and Alice Neal. After marrying her high school sweetheart, James Wesley "Wes" Devine, they moved to southern California where they raised their son. In 1989, they moved to Franklin Co., Tenn., to be close to their son, Jim, and his family.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Earl "Bud" Neal.She is survived by her son, James Wesley Devine Jr. and his wife, Judith "Judy" Devine, of Estill Springs, Tenn.; grandchildren, Shawn W. (Stephanie) Devine, of Signal Mountain, Jennifer "Jenny" (Troy) Phillips, of Huntland, Tenn.; great-grandchildren Robert W. "Wes" and Nicholas "Nick" Devine and Mason and Maddy Phillips; niece, Joyce Wiberg and great-niece, Sherri Castillo, both of Winton, Calif.; special friend, Eva Branch, and the staff and residents of Southern Manor Living Center where she lived the past four plus wonderful years, and many friends in Iowa, California and Tennessee.Graveside services will be conducted at Arlington Cemetery, Villisca, Iowa, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012.In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the charity of your choice.Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.931-967-2222 www.moorecortner.com.
