PIKEVILLE Viola Ferguson Frazier, 98, passed away on Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at Erlanger Bledsoe Hospital.She was born on June 12, 1914 to the late Ed and Stella Myers Ferguson. She became a member of the Mount Crest United Methodist Church in June of 1933. Viola was very active in her church. She served as a Sunday school and youth teacher, served as a member of the choir, and served as vice president of the United Methodist Women's Group for 13 years.Ms. Viola as she was affectionately known was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Frazier; daughters-in-law, Lucille Frazier and Jean Frazier; brothers, Joe Ferguson, Mitchel Ferguson; and sisters, Cora Collins, Berta Ewing and Luella Hixson.She is survived and will be missed by her four sons, Dennis Frazier and Ed Frazier, both of Pikeville and Horace (Geraldine) Frazier, Douglas (Annette) Frazier, both of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; six grandsons, Greg Frazier, of Pikeville, Gary (Glenda) Frazier, of Dalton, Ga., Michael Frazier, of Smyrna, Tenn., Mitchel (Lee Ann) Frazier, Timothy (Tracy) Frazier, and Douglas C. Frazier, all of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; four granddaughters, Karen (Brian) Williamson, Karla Simmons both of Pikeville, Tenn., Kathy (David) Wilson, of Stafford, Va., and Holly (Teddy) Williams, of Dayton, Tenn.; four great-granddaughters, Kalli and Karli Wilson, and Ashley and Kelsey Frazier; seven great-grandsons, Dennis Ray, Adam, Brad, Justin, Chase, Griffen Frazier and Patrick Williams; three brothers, John (Jean) Ferguson, of Dunlap, Tenn., Marshall (Lois) Ferguson, of Gap, Pa., Virgil (Grace) Ferguson, of Crossville, Tenn.; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.A Celebration of Viola's Life will be held in the Mt. Crest United Methodist Church at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept.13, 2012.
