Thomas "Tommy" Littleton Watts, 70, of Signal Mountain, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at his residence.A native of Chattanooga, he has lived in the Signal Mountain area for the past 24 years. Tommy, was former owner of Highland Opticians and has worked for Wal-Mart Vision Center for the past eight years. He was a member of Signal Mountain Baptist Church and Past Master of the Mountain City Masonic Lodge.He was preceded in death by his parents, William Littleton and Mary Alice Phillips Watts. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jo Ann Plemons Watts, of Signal Mountain; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Rodger Gilreath, of Chattanooga; mother-in-law, Katherine Plemons, of Ringgold, Ga.; sister, Shirley Watts (Rev. Everett) Gossett of Red Bank; three grandchildren, Amanda Rogers (Tim), Steven Littleton Gilreath and Garren Lynn Gilreath; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Bill Belva officiating.Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. today and Thursday preceding the funeral.In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Remote Area Medical Foundation 1834 Beech St. Knoxville, TN 37920, an organization close to Tommy's heart where he volunteered helping the less fortunate.An online register book may be signed at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
