Essie E. Banks, 89, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at her residence.She retired from The Pancake Man as the head Chef. She was a faithful member at Orchard Knob Missionary Baptist Church until her health started to fail.Survivors include her sister, Dorothial Harris; daughters, Doris Wallace, Loretta Lancaster, of Chattanooga; sons, John Fletcher, Robert Miller, Rickie Banks, of Chattanooga; Alphonza Fletcher, Covington, Ga.; George Miller Jr., Chesapeake, Va.; 18 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be at noon today at Orchard Knob Missionary Baptist Church.Interment in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.Arrangements by John P.
