ROSSVILLE Robert Lee "Mr. Dipsy" Williams, 73, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at his residence. Mr. Williams was a native of Fort Pierce, Fla., and had lived in the North Georgia area for the past three years where he was a member of the Crossroads Church of Chattanooga. Mr. Williams retired in 1995 from Ranger Construction in Fort Pierce as a heavy machine operator with over 20 years of service, and he was also a member of the American Legion in Fort Pierce. His passions in life were his family, friends, fishing, gardening, and enjoying life and the outdoors.He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Lee Williams Jr.; two brothers, Eddie Lee Williams and Oliver Joseph Williams; and sister, Carrie Mae Williams.Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Donna Williams; daughter, Sheila (Cornelius) Peterson; two sons, Anthony James Nicklo and Richard "Ricky" Anderson; brother, Roosevelt Williams; sisters, Mae Francis Preston and Dorothy Marie Washington; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Bryan Boyer officiating.The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
