Diana Stone, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012.A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga, Cleveland, Tenn., area, she was the daughter of the late R.L. and June Tinsley. Diana was a prominent employee of Maytag Corporation for 21 years where she was supervisor over Consumer Affairs. She was a huge mentor to many people throughout her life and made a huge impact on everyone she came in contact with. She was a member of Unity of Chattanooga and was loved and cherished by the people of Cleveland and Chattanooga. Diana died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.Survivors include her husband Paul Stone; two daughters, Angela Lauderdale (Paul) Burt and Celia (Chris) Lee; son, Paul (Erin) Stone; four grandchildren, Bronwen Lee, Noah Lee, Lander Stone and Anne Stone; brother, David Tinsley; two sisters, Donna Mason and Dawn King; several nieces and nephews and cousins.Memorial contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 7161 Lee Highway, Suite 400, Chattanooga, TN 37421.The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. today and 6-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.Please share your memories at ChattanoogaValleyViewChapel.com.A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
