Elma Gravitt, 71, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2012.She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and of the Christian faith. Elma enjoyed singing songs with her family and loved the time she spent at Orange Grove School in Chattanooga.Elma was preceded in death by her parents, Robert M. and Bertha Kirkland Gravitt; three sisters; and six brothers.She is survived by her sisters, Letricuce "Teresa" Gordon (Ronald), of Rossville and Velma Gravitt, of Brainerd; brothers, Ron Gravitt, of Ringgold and Robert Gravitt, of LaFayette; several nieces and nephews; and caregivers, Phyllis, Marilyn and Tina.The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, in the funeral home chapel with Minister Mike Lowery officiating. Interment will follow in Lomenick Cemetery, East Ridge. The family will receive friends after 1 p.m. today and prior to the service on Thursday.Arrangements by W.L.
