RINGGOLD Reubon Brock, 93, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of the Ringgold area. Reubon, was a member of Nellie Head Baptist Church, and served as Deacon at Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Ringgold, Temple Baptist Church in Chattanooga, and Nellie Head Baptist Church. During his life he held various occupations such as farmer, machinist, building contractor, plumber, electrician, salesman and glass glazer.He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Peters Brock; and parents, Dophlus "Doc" and California "Callie" Patty Brock.He is survived by three children, Wade (Marja) Brock, of New Market, Ala., Mavis (David) Cain, of Ringgold, and Dr. Lebron (Margie) Brock, of Ringgold; seven grandchildren, Daphne (Scott) Eager, Amy (Steve) DeCou, Christie (Chris) Hampton, Barbara Jean (Lou) Favorite, Rebecca (Phillip) Pickens, Janet Brock and Kenneth (Rachel) Brock; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Nellie Head Baptist Church with the Rev. Herschell Hicks and Rev. Walter Hare officiating.He will lie-in-state Saturday at the church from noon-2 p.m. Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. today, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday. at the funeral home.An online register book may be signed at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
