Ford Jr., 47, departed this life on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012.He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Ford; grandparents, Annie and Charles Ford and Pearlie and Alfred Sims; sister, Sarah Ford Johnson; brother, Robert Ford; and cousin, Lebron Sims.His survivors are parents, Bobby and Annie Ford; brothers, James (Kimberly) Ford, Willie (Melanie) Ford, Alton (Natasha) Ford, Charles Ford, Rayenon Ross, Ricky Hutton, Sidney McDonald, Kevin Higginbottom; aunts, Fannie Moon, Mamie Penney; uncles, Alfred Sims, John Sims, Samuel Sims; The Southside Church of Christ; cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, in the Chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home with Brother Fred Martin officiating.Interment in Highland Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
