Virginia Ruth Long Hickman, 83, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012.She was of the Christian faith. Ms. Hickman retired from Dupont. She loved her beloved bird Snowball and her cat Dink, she loved quilting and making dolls and she was an avid Lady Vol Fan.Her granddaughter, Connie Massengill, her parents and her brothers and sisters, preceded her in death.She is survived by her daughters, Dianne (Tony) Tzimblakis, of Lithia Springs, Ga., Debbie (Carl) Garner, of Soddy-Daisy; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and special friends, Gypsy, Jeanette and Rosalee.Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Art Coffman officiating.
