RINGGOLD Daniel "Dan" Longmire Edwards, 67, passed away early Monday morning, Sept. 24, 2012, at home.A lifelong resident of the North Georgia Chattanooga area, he was a member of Ringgold First Baptist Church. Dan and his wife Fay formerly owned and operated Ringgold Florist for 35 years, and the Ringgold Radio Shack for eight years. Dan recently had worked for T-mobile for seven years.He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Edwards and father, Falcom D. Edwards; and adopted parents Billy and Jean Hales.Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Fay Flinn Edwards, of Ringgold; daughter, Laura (Pat) Dawson, of Ringgold; mother, Blanche Edwards, of East Ridge; brother, David (Sherry) Edwards, of Ringgold; sister, Gaylen Corhern, of East Ridge; adopted brothers, Roger and Randy Hales; adopted sisters, Debbie Cannon, Pam England and Lisa Brewster; two beloved grandchildren, Gracie and Jacob; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 at Ringgold First Baptist Church.Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
