FLINTSTONE Nora Rena Crosswhite Millard, 79, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012. She was a lifetime resident of North Georgia and was member of Lake Howard Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and cooking, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jackson "Dempy" Millard Jr.; parents, John and Bessie Shelton Crosswhite; and brothers, Carl and Frank Crosswhite.Nora is survived by her daughters, Janet (Roger) Mahle, of LaFayette and Carolyn Millard, of Flintstone; sons, Jack (Lisa) Millard, of LaFayette and Jeremy (Pam) Millard, of Flintstone; grandchildren, Brian (Shawna) Mahle, of Rock Spring, Dustin, Landon, Levi, and Bella Millard; great-grandchild, Brianna Mahle; and several nieces and nephews.The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor John Paul Parker and Dr. Stephen Anthony officiating.Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today and prior to the service on Wednesday.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: LaFayette Church of Christ or Peavine Baptist Church Next Generation Building Fund.
