LaFAYETTE Joan Elizabeth Hamilton Roach, was welcomed home by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her family.Joan faced illness and death with much grace and dignity, never losing her sense of humor and most importantly her faith. She will be forever in the hearts of her beloved family and many friends.Joan is survived by her husband, Gregory A. Roach; sons, Brandon C. Staggs and Tanner J. Roach; mother, Joy F. Hamilton; mother and father in-law, Jerry and JoAnn Roach; special aunts and uncles, Carol and Mickey McCamish, Marie F. McMellon, Howard and Pat Franklin, Margaret Hamilton-Hon; brother-in-law, Gary (Jill) Roach; niece, Whitney Roach, special cousin, Sheila Clark; special friends Laurie & Maggie Schmidt; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many very dear friends. She is also survived by her precious furry angels, Walker, Texas Ranger and Max.Joan was preceded in death by her infant brother, Robert Lee Hamilton; and grandparents, Howard and Minnie Franklin and C.J. and Pat Hamilton.Joan was a member of and baptized at Bayside Baptist Church in Harrison. She was previously employed at Pediatric Diagnostic Association and was employed at Chattanooga Internal Medicine until her illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m Saturday in the funeral home chapel. A dear friend, Phil Meadows, will officiate.
