CHICKAMAUGA Eric Michael Engel, 25, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012. He was born in Marietta, Ga., and spent most of his life in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., before moving to Northwest Georgia only a few months ago. He was of the Christian faith, a former student at Sevier County High School, was presently working at the Huddle House in Chickamauga and he loved spending time outdoors skateboarding, snowboarding and hiking. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Buck and Mildred Moon; uncle, Greg Stroup; and aunt, Sherry Hulsey.Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Melissa Engel and Eric Ballard, of Chickamauga; father, Michael Engel, of Smyrna; brother, Ryan Chase Ballard, of Chickamauga; aunts and uncles, Kristen Sandoval and Gary Spence, of Lawrenceville, Cindi and Doug Elsberry, of Chickamauga, Robbie Stewart of Breman and Jeff and Cathy Stroup, of Connecticut; girlfriend, Elizabeth Stewart, of Sevierville and several other family members and friends.
