Thomas Melvin Dempsey, 51, of Chattanooga, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012.He was of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Cleo Dempsey; daughter, Tera Leanne Dempsey.He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Beverly Dempsey; son, Thomas M. Dempsey II; daughter, Jada D. Wilson; father, Charles Dempsey Sr.; two brothers, Charles Dempsey Jr. and Larry Dempsey; three sisters, Mary Ann Huckabee, Donna Belcher and Wanda Davenport; five grandchildren, Caleb, Alexis, Bailey, Brady and Conner; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. today at the Highway 58 chapel of Turner Funeral Home or you may visit the guest book @ www.turnerfamilyfuneralhome.com.Funeral service will be held on at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
