Shirley Williams Jones, 62, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Tenn. passed away on Friday April 12, 2013 in a local hospital. Shirley was born on May 20, 1950 a daughter of the late Percy and Thelma Williams. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Brainerd Hills Baptist Church. Shirley worked as a nurse for Twenty Seven plus years at Parkridge East Hospital. Shirleys caring spirit made her a true asset to the health care profession.In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband Dennis Jones.Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughter Mary Jones of Chattanooga, Tenn.; brother-in-law Curtis Howard and his wife Faye, of Columbia, Tenn.; She is also survived by other family members Ed and Jan Smith and Tanner and Makenna Smith both of Simpsonville, S.C. and David and Lori Howell, Austin, Brandan and Caitlyn Howell all of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.; and numerous other extended family members and friends.A memorial service is planned for Wednesday, April 17, at 2 p.m. in the main sanctuary of the Brainerd Hills Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Mason officiating.
