Dolores Rose McDaniel, 93, of Chattanooga, died Sunday morning, Dec. 1, 2013. Described as "Tough as Pig Iron with a heart of gold." She was a B 29 riveter in Hagerstown, Md., during World War II before settling in Chattanooga to raise a family. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She is the daughter of the late Nehemiah and Annie Frapart and the widow of the late Mack McDaniel. Survivors include her son, Ralph Vasquez; sister, Juliet F. Hoey; three grandchildren, John (Sandra) Roberts, Jason Paris, Elise Vasquez; great-grandchildren, Amanda (Mike) Esque, Nikki (Matt) Edgeworth, Kevin, Micah, Jay, Thomas, Trinity Roberts and Jake Paris. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Doug Silvers officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
