Fred Perdue, Sr.
Fred Perdue, 69, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at his residence. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucius and Iona Perdue; brothers, William and Jesse Perdue; sister, Mary Katherine Johnson. Survivors include sons, Corey Nelson, of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Freddie Perdue, II of Lakeland, Fla.; daughters, Sharon Williams, of Deerfield, Fla., Jacquelan (German) Bernardo, of Barton, Fla., and LyKeisha (Emory) Scott, of Deerfield, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers, David Perdue, of Newport News, Va., James Perdue, of Miami, Fla., Lucius Perdue, of Newport News, Fla., and Fredderick Perdue, of Chattanooga; sisters, Annie Lyons, of Lakeland, Fla., Shirley Randolph, of Tampa, Fla., and Iona Perdue, of Lakeland, Fla.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The body will lie-in-state today after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Larry Owens as the eulogist. Burial: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
