Jimmy Clayton

Jimmy Leon Clayton, 67, of Suck Creek Community, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 at his home. "Leon" as he was known by countless family members, friends, co-workers was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Hixson. He was a veteran of the US Navy and employee of Signal Mountain Cement Local #1 Paperworkers. He is preceded in death by his dad, James M. Clayton. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Weathers Clayton; daughters, Kristy Clayton Griffith, Ginger Clayton; granddaughters, Haley Griffith (Matthew) Gaston, Kristin Clayton; great-grandson, Addison Gaston; mother, Genelle Wooten Clayton; brother, Jackie (Ervinetta) Clayton; several nieces, nephews. Family received friends Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. CST, today in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Eddie Griffith and Rev. Mike Combs, Jr. officiating.
