Jack CastleberryRINGGOLD R.B. "Jack" Castleberry, 90, departed this life Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013.Jack was born in Rising Fawn, to the late John and Sally Castleberry. He served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during WWII where he received three Bronze Battle Stars and a Purple Heart along with many other decorations for his service there, and later owned and operated Castleberry Construction Co. here in the North Georgia area.He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rubye Castleberry; and seven brothers; and one sister.Survivors include his children, Raymond Castleberry, Donna Balch, both of Ringgold; siblings, Dot (J.B.) Roach, of Fort Oglethorpe, Melba (Jack) Harp, of Rossville, Carl Castleberry, of Rising Fawn; grandchildren, Michael (Tonya) Castleberry, Scott Balch, Phillip (Lori) Balch; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Amanda Castleberry; and many nieces and nephews.The family would like to send a special thank you to Chatsworth Healthcare Center for their love and care during this difficult time.Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor Herman Kapherr officiating.Family will receive friends from 4 until 9 p.m. today, and prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
