JASPER Howard Kenneth Webb, 90, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at Grandview Medical Center.A son of the late James Levi and Rose Raulston Webb, he was born on Dec. 31, 1922 and was raised Jasper.Mr. Webb proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service. Following his retirement he returned to Jasper from California and joined TVA, working at Sequoyah, Widows Creek and Nickajack. After spending more than 11 years at TVA, Mr. Webb began working alongside his wife, Nonie, in researching the extensive history of Marion County. His historical contributions will long be remembered.He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Webb and daughter, Donna Bozzo.Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Nonie Hlobil Webb; daughter, Vickie M. Webb; daughter-in-law, Sandra Freeman Webb; brothers, Billy and Fred Webb; sister, Helen Webb Perry; grandchildren, William and Monte Webb; and one great-grandson, Justin Webb.Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. CST on Wednesday, Feb. 20, in the funeral home chapel.Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, Feb. 19, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Marion County Food Bank.The family would like to thank Grandview Medical Center and Dr. Kim for their excellent care of Mr. Webb during his illness.Condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.tatefh.comArrangements are by Tate Funeral Home, 950 Mel Dixon Lane, Jasper, TN. 423-942-9200
