CLEVELAND Olivia Bell Donegan, 82, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, in a local health care facility.Olivia was a native of Shelbyville, Tenn., and had lived there most of her life until relocation to Cleveland approximately 10 years ago. She was born on Jan. 22, 1931 a daughter of the late Odus and Mattie Barnett. Olivia was of the Baptist faith and a member of Valley View Baptist Church. She was an accomplished seamstress, quilter, and knitter. She also loved gardening and was an avid reader.In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Myles Wilson Donegan; and three sisters, Rachel Lowe, Betty Reed and Marion Moulder.Olivia leaves behind to cherish her memory, one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Marty Smith, of Hixson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clinton and Martha Donegan, of Johnson City, Tenn., and Ricky amd Sandy Donegan, of Cleveland, Tenn.; two sisters Sybil (Jack) Norman and Mae (Clarence) McGowan; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous other extended family members and the friends in her senior adult group from Valley View Baptist Church.A memorial celebration is planned for at 6 p.m. Friday night, Feb. 22, 2013, at Valley View Baptist Church located at 4675 Spring Place Road in Cleveland, TN 37323 with the Rev. David Tuten officiating.The family will receive friends at the church from 4 until the 6 p.m. service time on Friday.A second visitation is planned on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. CST at Shelbyville First Church of the Nazarene located at 834 Union St. in Shelbyville, TN 37160.The family request that in lieu of flowers, memoriasl be made to the Valley View Baptist Church in Olivias memory.
