ROSSVILLE Betty Jean Wilkins Traylor, 74, was taken home to our Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at her long-time home in Rossville after a long struggle with COPD.She was affectionately called MawMaw and was born in Rainsville, Ala. Her hobbies included cooking and taking care of her plants and making each day brighter for her family and friends. She retired from Bevis Rope after 21 years of service and she was of the Baptist faith. She is having a coffee-break with God now, until we see you again, we love you, MawMaw.She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tiffany Traylor; parents, Cecil and Edith Wilkins; sister, Ruth Stone; and brother, Dale Wilkins.Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Durell Traylor; sons, Darrel (Cheryl) Traylor and Tony Traylor; grandchildren, Eden Traylor, English (Rachel) Storer and Blake Traylor; sisters, Ann Smith and Mary-Frank Chesser; and brother, Bill Wilkins.Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Pastor John Headrick officiating.Burial will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.Arrangements by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
