John Page


ROSSVILLE John Melvin Page, 59, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was of the Christian faith. He was previously employed with American Alternator & Battery as a foreman for more than 15 years and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all that knew him.He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Rooster" and Nora Page. Survivors include his loving wife of more than 39 years, Ruby Newbille Page; two daughters and son-in-law, Heather (Scotty) Douglass and Ashley Ashley, all of Rossville; five sisters and brother-in-law, Shirley Page, of Fort Oglethorpe, Diane Worley, of Ringgold, Ga., Shelby (Lebron) Beach, Nora Bland and Tina Jackson, all of Rossville; one grandson, Jaxsyn Ryder Ashley and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Pastor David McDonald officiating.Burial will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.The family will begin receiving friends after 4 p.m. today and prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.Arrangements by W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe.
