Buddy DykesRev. Buddy L. Dykes, 71, of Soddy-Daisy went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013.Rev. Dykes ministered for many years at several area churches including Hooker Church of God, Midway Baptist Church and Shady Grove Baptist Church.Dykes was preceded in death by parents, Grady and Lillie Dykes; son, Tony Dykes; grandson, Stevie Elrod.Survivors include wife of 53 years, Wanda Dykes; son, Buddy (Tammy) Dykes; daughters, Connie (Corky) Flerl, Theresa (Steve) Elrod, of Soddy-Daisy; daughter-in-law, Lisa (Greeson) Dykes, of Chickamauga, Ga.; brothers, Winfred Dykes, of Rossville, Bill and Jimmy Dykes, of Trenton, Ga.; sisters, Lois Simmons, of Trenton, Joyce York, of Athens, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-granddaughters.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Quillen Thurman and Rev.
