Carlos "Carlitos" Espinal Reynolds, 25, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012.Carlitos was born in Honduras on July 20, 1987. Abandoned at birth, he had a loving home at Orphanage Emmanuel in Guaimaca, Honduras until coming to the United States in 1999 for medical treatment. He met his future adoptive parents, who were in Honduras on a mission trip, in 1996, and the bonding began.He attended Tennessee Temple Academy and Red Bank Baptist Church.Although he had some limited abilities, he had amazing talents.Left to cherish his memory are, Lydia and David Martinez, founders and orphanage parents of Orphanage Emmanuel; parents, Shirley and Don Reynolds, Signal Mountain; members of his extended family, and many friends.Carlito's death has left a huge hole in the hearts of all who knew him and a celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. ESTon Monday at Red Bank Baptist Church with Dr. Fred Steelman and Rev. Sam Greer officiating.Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery.Special thanks and love to Dr. Timothy Strait for his many years of skillful medical care and friendship to Carlitos.Our appreciation also to the staff of Siskin Rehabilitation Hospital & Fitness Center for the loving care given, over the many years, to Carlitos.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Orphanage Emmanuel Fund, c/o Red Bank Baptist Church, 4000 Dayton Blvd., Chattanooga, TN 37415.Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Hamilton Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 4506 Hixson Pike. 423-531-3975.
