ROCKSPRING Robert Matthew Millican, 74, went to be with his Lord Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013.Robert was a member and Deacon of Center Grove Baptist Church for 40 years.Veteran of the U.S. Army.Employed by E.T. Barwick, for years, and retired from Shaw Industries.He was preceded in death by his parents Fred Millican, Sr. and Ida King Millican; granddaughter Jewell Nicole Millican, two sisters, four brothers.Survived by his wife of 52 years, Dot Colbert Millican, Rock Spring; daughter, Carol Taylor, Rock Spring; sister Louise Leon, Chicago; grandchildren, Jamal Millican, Christopher Lewis, Gerea Lewis; sister-in-law, Ruth and brother-in-law, John Lewis, sister-in-law, Mildred and brother-in-law James Gilbert, sisters-in-law, Reba Colbert of Rock Spring, and Leola Colbert, Ringgold; several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral from the Center Grove Baptist Church Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m. Service conducted by Rev. Chris Hulsey, Rev. David Brown and Rev. Jim Powell.Pallbearers are Calvin Lewis, Christopher Lewis, Donald Gilbert, Scotty Gilbert, Terry Colbert, Berry Colbert, Marty Walker, Mutt Kirby.Honorary pallbearers are Mens Lititure Class, Tray Sisemore, Terry Gilreath, Tony Ballew.Interment: McIntyre Cemetery.Visitation at the Funeral Home today from 5-9 p.m.Arrangements by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home of LaFayette.
