Jr.Archie Otto Hanner Jr., 65, of Hixson, passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013. He was born in Centre, Ala., graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and University of Tennessee of Chattanooga, attended Chattanooga State, and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and member of Second St. James Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Vaughn.Survivors are his wife, Shirley Welch Hanner; one son, Armond Hanner, of Chattanooga; parents, Rev. Archie Otto Hanner, Sr., and Milvyn E. Hanner; two sisters, Lottie Farmer, of Hixson, and Milvyn Ann Canday, of Atlanta; brothers, Jerry (Shilia) Hanner, of Chattanooga, Freddie (Dorothy) Hanner, of Louisville, Ky., Rev. Tommy Hannah, Charles (Juanita) Nichols, of Atlanta; grandchildren, ArMondria Latrease Robinson-Hanner, ArMiracle Montgomery Hanner, JaMond Hanner, Wayneisha Demonbruen, Jashun Montgomery; special friends, Jasmine Montgomery, Wilmecia Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.Graveside service will be Tuesday, March 5, at 1:30 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmie Ingram and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, March 4, from 7 until 8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home, 3417 Wilcox Blvd., Chattanooga Tennessee, 37411.
