ROSSVILLE Katherine Hattie Parrish Collins, 83, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013.She was born in Chickamauga, Ga., to the late Luther Clark Parrish Sr. and Lola Perry Parrish Reece. She was a lifelong resident of the Northwest Georgia-Chattanooga area. She was a graduate of Gordon Lee High School Class of 1947. She had worked for Murphys Drug Store, Davenport Hoisery Mill, Cutter Laboratories and Chattanooga Bakery. She was a former member of Woodstation and Fellowship Baptist Church and a current member of Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church. She enjoyed photography, gardening and loved to travel. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Eugene "Happy" Reece; and her brother, Clark Parrish Jr.She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Henry Eugene Collins, of Rossville; sister, Sheila Gaines ,of LaFayette, Ga.; several nieces, nephews, special friends, Tommy and Peggy Cabe. Her husband and family give special thanks to the staff of Amedisys Hospice in Dalton, Ga., for their care and support.The family will receive friends from 1-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday morning until the service.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2013, in the chapel with Rev. Bryan Griffin and Rev.
