PALM BEACH, Fla. George C. J. Moore, 70, passed away peacefully at his home in Palm Beach, surrounded by his devoted and loving family, on Tuesday, March 5, 2013.He is survived by his wife, Angela; his daughter, Anna, her husband, Robin, and their three children, Naomi, Sofia and Viggo; his brother, Reid and his family.Born in Chattanooga, George grew up on Lookout Mountain before moving to Palm Beach. He gained Degrees in Florida, Scotland and Cambridge, England, and was admitted as a Barrister in England before establishing an International Law Practice in West Palm Beach.Georges grandmother and lifelong inspiration was Abby Crawford Milton. She led the womens suffrage movement in Tennessee. Shortly before his death, George was delighted to learn that, as a result of his efforts, the Tennessee Historical Commission has approved the placing of historical markers commemorating his grandmother in Chattanooga and Nashville. The funeral service will be conducted by Dr. Robert Norris at Royal Poinciana Chapel, Palm Beach, 2 p.m. on Monday, March 11.Arrangements by Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 561-832-5171.
