Robert FarleyDr. Robert R."Bob" Farley, 88, of Chattanooga died Wednesday, March 6, 2013.He was born April 7, 1924 in Nashville, a son of the late Edward and Katherine Farley. He was preceded in death by a son, James Robert Farley.He was a World War II Marine veteran. He was a member of Wauhatchie United Methodist Church, the American Legion and was a Mason. He was a doctor of pharmacy, retiring from Lookout Valley Drugs. He lived for 20 years on Chickamauga Lake in the Birchwood area, where he and his late wife Carolyn, enjoyed the lake and fishing. After Carolyns death, he married Betsy Steffner, they enjoyed spending time at their cabin in the Smokey Mountains. Bob was an avid Atlanta Braves fan; he never missed a game and enjoyed his weekly card games with close friends.Survivors include his daughter, Kathy (Mathieu) Watkins; stepchildren, Carole (Jim) Barber and Tommy (Judy) Thatch; daughter-in-law, Claudia Farley; grandchildren, Amanda (Adam) Johnson and Scott (Susan) Farley; great-grandchildren, Caroline Farley and Catherine Farley; and a sister, Martha Harvey.Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.Pallbearers include Alan Ballard, Jim Barber, Jim Brackett, Robert Clark, Tommy Thatch and Butch Wade.The family will receive friends at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday.The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Hospice of Chattanooga for their excellent care and support during Bobs illness and throughout this difficult time.Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanoogaeastchapel.com.Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Chapel, 404 S.
