Helen bowman went to her eternal resting place on Saturday, March 9, 2013 surrounded by her family. She passed away peacefully in the late stages of Alzhelmer's at NHC-Ft. Oglethorpe, GA. She was born in Pittsburg, Pa., on Jan. 13, 1920 where she spent 50 years of her life. Helen moved from Pennsylvania to reside in Coral Springs and Kissimmee, Fla., before spending her final years in Georgia. Helen worked professionally as an executive secretary for Westinghouse, Blaw-Knox and Coral Springs Properties. Her true dedication was to raising her four daughters and her involvement in the lives of her grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, grandsons Nick and husband, Pierre.She is survived by her four daughters, Barbara (Orlando) Guattieri, Pittsburg, Pa., Jan (Jack) Lewis, Ringgold, Ga., Patricia (Dean) Katsilas, Windsor, Ontario, and Sue (Bill) Orben, Kissimmee, Fla.; She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Andrew and Christopher Gualtieri, Zak and Michael Kasilas, and Mitchell and Katie Orben. Helen's Catholic faith was been evident throughout her lifetime. In her later years, she was a communicant and OLPH Catholic Church.A Prayer service will be held 4 p.m. today and visitation will continue until 8 p.m.The body will be sent to Pittsburgh, Pa., for a Funeral Mass and Interment.Arrangements by Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
