James Davis, 69, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013. He leaves to cherish his memory his fiance' Ollie Isom; daughters: Carol (Lebron) Geter, LaShonda and LaTonya Davis; sons, Marvin and James E. Davis III; stepdaughter Tracy Brown; sisters, Corrine (John) Paris, Roberta (Sammie) Talley, Ophelia (Kenneth) Davis; brothers, Floyd and Jessie Davis, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, in the funeral home chapel. Interment: Highland Cemetery. The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. this evening at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
