Evelyn P. Holloway Cameron, 82, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Soddy-Daisy Medical Center in Soddy-Daisy.Ms. Cameron was born Nov. 4, 1930, in Camp Hill, Ala., to the late Willie Holloway and Lillian Allen Holloway. The family relocated to Chattanooga, when the children reached school age and she attended Chattanooga Public Schools and A&M University in Huntsville, Ala., where she received her B.S. in Elementary Education. She later received her M.S of Education degree in elementary education before her retirement.Ms. Cameron was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church and a former member of Westside Baptist Church. She taught in the Chattanooga Public School System for 30+ years at Orchard Knob Elementary, Mary Ann Gather Elementary, Hemlock Elementary, etc. before her retirement. She was a dedicated educator who loved her profession and all of her students. Her legacy was to love unconditionally.Ms. Cameron was the beloved wife of the late Ralph W. Cameron II.She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Ralph W. Cameron III, of Chattanooga; her daughter, F. Rene' (James) Garrett, of Charleston, S.C.; four granddaughters, Cecille Cameron and Tumesha L, Cameron, of Chattanooga, LaShea A. (Toni) Washington, of Columbia, S.C. and Jachelle A. (Kareem) Sprattling, of Bennettsville, S.C.; and five great-grandchildren, Angelo, Brandin and Brooklyn Clay, of Chattanooga, Zaire and Catherine Sprattling, of Bennettsville, S.C.; her only brother, Willie (Jewel) Holloway, of Stockbridge, Ga.; two aunts, Argiaree Holloway and Luvenia Heard, both of Lafeyette, Ala., She is also survived by a host of extended family members and very close friends.The family invites you to attend Ms. Camerons homegoing graveside services at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga with Elder Wilbert McClure and Tumesha Cameron offftciating.In lieu of flowers, donations/memorials can be made to the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association.Services of comfort ar entrusted to the care of Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, Franklin-Strickland-Pinkard-Bryan- Smith Funeral Directors, 1724 McCallie Ave.
