Bertha MedaughBertha E. Medaugh, 93, of Birchwood, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013.Bertha was one of seven children born to the late Andrew Jackson and Elma Crata Thomas. She was of the Church of Christ faith and attended North Hamilton Church of Christ for many years.Bertha is preceded in death by her husband William K. Medaugh Sr.; parents Andrew Jackson and Elma Crata Thomas; siblings Marlin Thomas, Pauline Cox Massengale, Winferd Thomas, Herman Thomas, Leo Thomas and Charlie Thomas.Bertha is survived by her son, William (Janis) K. Medaugh; daughters, Billie Daniel and Lynda (David) Cable; grandchildren, John Daniel, Mark (Stephanie) Daniel, Tony (Kim) Daniel, Sherry Polenshinski, Angie Kennedy, Ryan Cable, Kelly Cable, Dylan Cable, Timothy Crump, Eric (Ali) Crump and Jessica Crump; 12 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 4- 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel, and on Friday, one hour before service.Funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Preacher David Smith officiating.Interment to follow to Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
