Marvin Stover, 80, of Harrison, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family.He was born in Suches, Ga., and was the son of the late Callie Heard and was also preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Hallie Stover.He was saved and baptized in the Church of God in Suches, Ga., and served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Infantry 1948-1952 during the Korean War. Mr. Stover was past president of the Harrison Bass Masters and founding member of Bass Casters Limited and was retired from Raines Brothers Contracting Inc., after 30 years of service.He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Bobbie Faye Stover; son, Donnie (Susie) Cook; daughter, Robin (Roger) Disney. He was lovingly known as Papa to his five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dennis Ray and Rev. Jym Hitte officiating.Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.Active pallbearers will be Chase Oliver, Danny Cook, J.J.
