Janette Katherine Beaver Burnette, 91, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2013.She was born in Kennesaw, Ga., on Aug. 17, 1922, to the late Herman Dennis Beaver and Minnie Mae Williams Beaver. She had lived most of her life in Chattanooga where she was a member of Hamilton Baptist Church. Janette was a lady who trusted God for all of her needs and was respected by her family and friends. Her passions in life were God, taking care of her family, her Sunday school class, reading and sewing.She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hamilton Burnette; son, Charles Norman Burnette; daughter, Stella Delores Burnette Guess; and one sister.Survivors include her two daughters, Shirley Ann Burnette Erickson (Marlon) Hancock and Betty Louise Burnette (Larry) Manning, all of Rossville; sister, Erma Mae Beaver Sims Smith, of Homestead, Fla.; aunt, Sue Beaver Brown Forehand, of Vienna Ga.; daughter-in-law, Mary Burnette Dean, of Cleveland, Tenn.; over 30 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Our family would like to thank the staff at the Health Center at Standifer Place and Hospice of Chattanooga for the wonderful care you gave our mother.
